Subjects: Political science; law and society
Series: Chicago Series in Law and Society, Chicago Studies in American Politics

I have been at the University of Chicago, first at the College and then at the Press, since 1970. During this time, I have sponsored over 600 books for publication in a variety of fields. I continue to acquire new manuscripts in political science (especially American politics), political philosophy, and the interdisciplinary field of law and society. I also am always on the lookout for manuscripts of more general interest inside and outside of these areas. Recent highlights from my lists include The Submerged State, Why the Law is So Perverse, The Great Movies III, and a new translation of Aristotle’s Ethics.

For the last decade or so, I have had the good fortune to work with Rodney Powell, Assistant Editor, who also occasionally acquires in film studies, and am also now collaborating with Holly Smith, Editorial Associate.
